Their service & spares manager Greg Dodt has consistently been awarded high places in Australia-wide competitions for Honda & Yamaha motorcycle technicians.

Greg Dodt is the toast of Motorcycle Country in Gympie after being named as the leading Yamaha technician at the Oceania Motorcycle Technician Grand Prix held at the Yamaha Technical Academy in Sydney in mid September.

The Technical GP is the culmination of two years of YTA training activities aimed at raising the proficiency of all Yamaha technicians in the Oceania market region to ensure customers receive outstanding after-sales service.

Greg said the event involves gruelling practical tasks and a tough theoretical test undertaken by a select group of motorcycle service staff at YMA’s headquarters in Sydney.

“I now go onto represent Oceania in Yamaha’s World Motorcycle Technician GP in Japan later this year, this is a great opportunity for me to further my skills and I’m looking forward to passing on my knowledge to my fellow employees.

Motorcycle Country Manager, Greg Murley said he was thrilled that Greg’s persistence was rewarded with first place at the GP.

“Greg should be really pleased with his performance as the Yamaha Motorcycle Technician GP pits the top Yamaha service technicians in the country against each other to find out who is the best of the best.”
